When I began this blog I never intended to use it to discuss anything other than my own work, and life. I spend most of my time writing for my book ‘Hydryth’, and when I am not doing that I am usually reading. I have never felt the need to express and opinion on this blog about other authors or their work. However, if you follow me on my various social media accounts ( and if you don’t, then may I ask why??) you will surely have noticed that over the last week or so I have been reading a fantastic book called ‘The Night Circus’.
There are so many words I can use to describe this book, but I think my favourite one is ‘magical’. This book really is magical! I wouldn’t say this is a review of the story, but I have fallen in love with it so much I feel I should share it with others whom may not have heard about it. I cannot urge you enough to go and read this. It is written so well it makes it lovely to read. I almost want to be part of this world.
I do not wish to spoil the story for those who have not read it so I will not write about it. You will just have to trust me and read it yourselves. I am not even at the end of it yet and I had to tell you all how amazing it is. There is even an event in it called ‘Midnight Dinners’ and I fully intend to begin hosting these elaborate evenings myself.
The authors name is Erin Morgenstern, and I haven’t even had time to see if she has any other work I can read when I have finished with this one. I never want it to end!
